The Local Government Unit of La Paz extends its heartfelt gratitude to Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) for its generous support through the donation of bamboo planting materials during the Municipality’s Serbisyo Caravan. This meaningful partnership strengthens our shared commitment to promoting sustainable agriculture, environmental conservation, and community development.

The ceremonial turnover was led by TAU President Dr. Silverio Ramon DC. Salunson together with Commissioner Ricmar P. Aquino, Chair of the TAU Board of Regents and Commissioner of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), during his first official visit to the University. The Municipality received 100 bamboo propagules, 15 poles of Kawayan Tinik, and 10 poles of Bayog cuttings in response to the request of the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) of La Paz.

Also present during the turnover was For. Maidas L. Anson, Chief of Forest Products and Processing and concurrent Project-in-Charge of the Calao Forest Reserve of TAU, whose support highlights the importance of collaborative efforts in advancing bamboo-based environmental conservation and sustainable livelihood initiatives.

Through partnerships like this, the LGU of La Paz remains committed to bringing essential agricultural services and science-based interventions closer to our farming communities. Together with TAU and our valued partners, we continue to cultivate a greener, more resilient, and sustainable future for every La Pazeño.
